Hyundai i10

At a ceremony in New Delhi (India) Hyundai Motor Company introduced a new model A-Class - Hyundai i10. From the factory in New Delhi, car will be exported to many countries in the world.

Hyundai i10 comes with gasoline iRDE 1.1 litres engine (66.7 hp), which integrates with five speed mechanical transmission. According to Hyundai representatives, their vehicles will be able to comfortably accommodate five people, and for greater convenience for passengers, all seats are equipped with armrests. Standard edition i10 is equipped with heated, folding back seats, two-tone beige interior, safety belts for rear seats, as well as electronic meter and odometer. More expensive edition provides such options as a panoramic glass roof (first time in the car of this class), rear spoiler, leather steering wheel and shift stick handle, as well as the keyless entry system. According to the manufacturer, the i10 using modern safety systems, including ABS, pre-tension belts, double airbags, etc. In addition, Hyundai offers two-year unlimited mileage warranty.

Hyundai i30

C-Class hatchback is important for any automaker on European market. The share of the C-Class segment is approximately 20% of the market and almost all cars are hatchbacks. Recent entries to this niche from Audi, BMW and Volvo with models A3, 1 - Series and S30, respectively. Realizing this, the Koreans urgently extending its model range with C-Class hatchback.

According to the latest marketing developments Hyundai hatchback differs from sedan of same C-Class as a flamethrower from the gas burners. New marketing fashion was introduced by Japanese, when five-door hatchback positioned as sports car with a price 30% higher than that of a family sedan.

The i30 tries not to be left behind by the Japanese. It bets on dynamic image and motors, bright design, high comfort and safety of passengers. Vehicle body provides a zone of deformation and triangular distribution. Additional strength of the body was achieved through the strengthening of the vertical pillars and installation of protection from side impact on the entire length. Hatchback body, also implies the presence if small, but convenient trunk. Hyundai has taken it into consideration: the volume of trunk is 340 litres, and the loading height is relatively small.

The i30 designed in the Hyundai German Engineering and Design center (Russelsheim Design and Technical Center), taking into account the preferences of European consumers. Which now seem to prefer proven by competitors sports image hatchback. Smooth surface in symbiosis with sharp and tense lines, heavily declining to the back roof and the ascending window line for the rear door make the silhouette of the car very dynamic. Recent trends in the headlamps spilling to front wings and large rear lamps also reflected in the Hyundai i30 design. Hyundai designers have emphasized all these elements, so the rear lamps seem to have reached absurd size.

Hyundai i30 offers a choice of three gasoline engines with a complete set of mechanical or automatic transmission and three diesel engine, which come only with mechanical gearbox. Engines of 1.4 liters capacity develops 108 hp, 1.6 litre reaches 121 horsepower, but the most appropriate engine will be probably 140 hp 2.0 litre engine. All petrol engines have to 4 valves per cylinder and controlled injection of fuel. Diesel CRDi volume of 1.6 liters produced in two versions - with a capacity of 90 hp and 115 hp, but the latest 2.0 litre diesel engine is not inferior to petrol counterpart with the same volume and develops the same 140 hp thanks to variable geometry turbocharging. Korean cars have long used electronic ABS and ESP systems to ensure a high degree of manageability on the road.

Kia Picanto Facelift

Kia Motors unveiled updated for 2007 model year Kia Picanto at the motor show in Barcelona, which started June 7.

Korean car facelift was done not only by Asian designers, but also their counterparts from the European bureau of the company. As a result, it has more rounded and cute shape. Although there are no serious changes except it has become longer than the predecessor by 40 mm (the other dimensions remain the same). Additionaly, slightly transformed bumper, hood and front fenders. Radical changes have touched radiator grill and optics only - front and rear.

Some innovations are inside - more expensive plastic and slightly modified design, color palette is expanded - instead of original 10, the buyer can choose from 14 colors. With updated Picanto version Koreans expect sales to increase to 90 thousand annually.
